The Cheerson CX-33C is a new awesome looking double sided tri-copter from our friends over at Cheerson who normally specialize in Quadcopters, this thing comes with motors on the top and bottom of each arm so you can be sure that it will have tons of power.

This is the 720p camera version out of a series of 3 versions Cheerson is putting out, the two others are the Cheerson CX-33W and the Cheerson CX-33S which are FPV tri-copters with different ways of transmitting. One of the other main features on these tri-copters is altitude hold mode, it uses a barometric sensor to check air pressure and keep your tri-copter hovering at the same height.

Camera quality is probably going to be mediocre as it normally is with these cheaper 2MP camera quadcopters, generally they aren’t too bad but they’re not super great and you’d have to spend money to get much better. It does seem like the camera is controlled by the transmitter rather than manually which is nice.

The CX-33C is listed as having a “high density air pressure sensor” which basically means a barometric pressure sensor, this sensor as you might guess is able to sense air pressure with some pretty good accuracy. All of this means that your tri-copter can tell how high it is based on the air pressure and is able to adjust itself to hold whatever height you set, a pretty awesome feature. Cheerson CX-33

Even though this is called a “tri” copter there are actually 6 motors on the CX-33C which I think will make it one of the fastest and most powerful tri-copters available to consumers. The information from Cheerson also shows this tri-copter has “one-key to take off” and “one-key to land”, I don’t really know what this means and the only thing I can think of is that maybe you can use the takeoff button when you start and then it saves the pressure of the tri-copter on the ground then when you press the land button it flies down until it hits that pressure.
